PROPOSAL FOR ITC MEMBERS TO POST TRAININGS ON NCC WEBSITE

If a person in ITC who has attended at least 6 ITC meetings, has read MBR's book, and gone to at least two workshops, requests to list a training on the NCC webpage, and has not previously listed trainings on the NCC website, he or she needs to be sponsored by a member of TC or ITC who has been teaching NVC for at least two years. The sponsor will be someone who has 1) led NVC practice groups for a minimum of 16 weeks, 2) done 4 or more Intros to NVC, and 3) attended one of the following: a) an IIT, b) the San Francisco leadership training, or c) 10 full days of training by Marshall or by local (I see no need for this to be from local folks.  They could be from anywhereCertified could be added instead if you like.) trainers.

Before listing trainings on the web, the "trainee" will ask an ITC or a TC member to observe him or her for the first Intro and for one meeting of a practice group to receive feedback and support. **(Compensation for the trainer's time is under consideration.) If there is concern by the sponsor regarding the training, it will be discussed with the trainee either privately or at the following ITC meeting, at the trainee's choice. The ITC trainee will be asked to have a sponsor at his or her next presentation as well, until it is determined the trainee no longer requires this support . When the sponsor affirms the ITC member's training is congruent with NVC values, including the quality of training, the mission/vision of NCC, CNVC and ITC, the new trainer will be cleared to use the NCC website to offer trainings or host practice groups.  The sponsor will also observe the "trainee" giving empathy at ITC groups or in an in-person session.

10% of $ received from trainings posted on the web will be requested for NCC with a donation from the heart to CNVC.  Credit card transactions will be charged a 10% (remove 10% and say "the current requested"because this  may change) admin fee as per NCC policy.

**Compensation suggestion: For the 1st observation, the TC or ITC trainer will donate his or her time. After that, the trainer and trainee will agree on compensation. If the distance is over five miles, gas cost will be paid to the sponsor. If the trainee is not able to compensate the sponsor, a request for $25. per hour can be made to NCC general fund.

 Our proposal re Liv's thoughts:

All trainings and popcorn evenings of watching Marshall on video, public fund raisers and other NVC public gatherings will be listed on one calendar web page, which is emailed to the data base each two weeks.  Practice groups will be listed separately under that heading. (Click here).

This trainings page will differentiate who is certified and who is not, listing individuals as CNVC-certified or as an Independent Trainer. NVC trainings will be listed by county—King, Snohomish and Pierce, by date order under the county headings. (I definitely don't like this division of trainings.  I think it is important to have them all listed by date and then to have the place prominently placed in the title, as it is now.  I like this because I may be from Tacoma and not think to look in an Olympia listing and where do you make the boundaries?)  Independent trainers listed will have five or more years experience and training in NVC or will have been approved by an ITC or  TC trainer to list their trainings on the NCC web site. (I don't understand this last sentence.  It seems to say something different from what is said above and is therefore confusing.)

PASSED!!! Any regional NVC Training or Event will be listed on one NCC Calendar Web Page. On this page will be a one sentence description of what it means to be a Certified or Independent Trainer.
For ITC members, 10% of $ received from postings on the web will be requested for NCC with a donation from the heart to CNVC. For TC members or other Certified Trainers, a donation from the heart will go to NCC. Credit card transactions will be charged the current admin fee as per NCC policy.  Practice groups will be listed on a separate page. This will be in effect for 6 months, at which time there will be a review.

Membership criteria for ITC
: Have an interest in sharing NVC with individuals or small groups. Attend at least 6 ITC meetings.  To be listed on NCC site as ITC trainer, follow the process above.

PROPOSAL FOR ITC MEMBERS TO POST TRAININGS ON NCC WEBSITE

If a person in ITC who has attended at least 6 ITC meetings, has read MBR's book, gone to at least two workshops, requests to list a training on the NCC/ITC webpage, and has not previously listed trainings on the NCC website, he or she needs to be sponsored/ supported by a member of TC or ITC who has been teaching NVC for at least two years. The sponsor will be someone who has given several NVC trainings and who has experienced that person giving and receiving empathy.  Before a training is posted on the web, the requesting ITC member will ask a member of TC or ITC to be with him or her for the first public Intro or practice group.  If there is concern by the supporter regarding the training, it will be discussed with the ITC member either privately or at the following ITC meeting. The ITC member will be asked to have a sponsor person at his or her next presentation as well, until it is determined the ITC member no longer requires this support . When the sponsor affirms the new ITC member's training is congruent with NVC values, including the quality of training, the mission/vision of NCC, CNVC and ITC, the new sharer will be cleared to use the NCC/ITC website to offer trainings or host practice groups.  10% of $ received from trainings posted on the web will be requested for NCC with a donation from the heart to CNVC.  Credit card transactions will be charged a 10% admin fee as per NCC policy.

  Liv's thoughts:

I would like to see all trainings and practice groups and popcorn evenings of watching Marshall on video and public fund raisers and all  other NVC public gatherings showing on one calendar web page.

I would like this page to show a distinct differentiation of who is certified and who is not, who is wanting to practice teaching and who is just wanting to get a group together to practice.

This would meet my need for getting the word out about NVC to as many persons as possible and create more interest in our web page.

My underlying belief drives this strategy is that if it's worth doing it is worth doing poorly.  And also this would meet my need for  easy and eliminate my frustration with inertness (things not being presented (or they are presented but not publicized) because the no trainer is available to supervise).  I may then have other frustration and I trust that we have the tools to clean up the messes.  Love, Liv

5) Pan's Proposal from New England Circle
to use NCC's Registration Technology

Decision: Barb will negotiate with Pan and is empowered to make decision on behalf of NCC.

I am writing at the request Jerry Koch-Gonzales, organizer of the newly forming circle, New England NVC and the Technology Circle of this group.  We would like to give you an opportunity to contribute to our lives and mission.

This emerging group is exploring ways to spread NVC in New England and request a gift from Northwest Compassionate Communications.  I took them on a tour of the NWCOMPASS.org database and registration application. They were very impressed and long to see that tool available to the trainers in this area. We are asking for a gift because currently there are no resources available to the group.

Would you be willing to provide this new group access to the technology of the registration program? All you would have to do is give your permission.

This would greatly help spread NVC in an area where it is just beginning. It would provide a solid and practical inducement for NVC trainers in this area to work together, and allow people interested in learning NVC to learn about and sign up for training.

I have spoken with Madhu Lundquist, the developer of the application that includes the database, class listing and registration and practice group listings. He is willing to duplicate the application on a new web site for New England NVC. Some of the application was developed for a site he built for his parents, and some of it was developed for PSNCC, so we are asking if you would be willing to have the application duplicated on our web site.

I suspect we would be willing to fund upgrades to the system, and I would enjoy the collaboration that would involve.

I cannot describe how that funding would work at this time, and I am willing to find a way.

Do you have specific upgrades you would like? I can think of dealing with the deposit issue. Is this something you want to do right away? It would be smart to make the changes first before the application is copied to the new site. If you can provide a list of changes, I could get an estimate from Madhu to clarify discussions.

It will probably be a few months before we are ready to go once everything is worked out with the forming New England NVC and NW Compass, but knowing the possibilities by the meeting on Sunday would be very helpful. Please give my love to everybody at the meeting tonight.

END Pan's Request
